Greetings passengers of the Cooperlay’s Daughter 401,

You will soon be able to enjoy and appreciate our precious monster. Finally we can breathe and say that at last, the hard work will pay off. Everything is now in the hands of the factories. Soon they will tell us the exact dates and ShipQuest will give us a detailed report with the shipping order for the different countries—we will keep you informed.

As an interesting fact, the factory gave us good news: they have acquired new machines that will improve the quality and cutting of the board game components.

Survey

In mid-October, we will close all backer surveys. If for some reason you have changed your address, you still have time to modify it in your Backerkit survey before then. Any modification or error after the mentioned date, please send an email to [email protected]

Proofreading

All the books and components were reviewed by more proofreaders to make sure that you get a narrative without mistakes or linguistic misunderstandings. Being a game with a lot of text (two books of 160 pages each) has been one of the great challenges of the project and we hope to be at the height of the great ones.

Future

We would like to remind you that Sanctorvm's journey has just begun. Once you try the game and we get your precious feedback, we will start planning for next year. We want to hit the ground running, and build the Apocalypse expansion as it deserves, with new mechanics and an epic story full of real challenges.

Temple of Yehuddah

We know we repeat it often, but the whole team is looking forward to the shipment. Also, we are planning to attend several events next year to present our game on a larger scale (we believe that the Covid situation will have improved a lot). With all this, we would like to emphasize that we will keep on fighting for an amazing future for the Sanctorvm universe.

The Gravita Games team is back in the studio refreshed after two weeks of vacation. The Ningbo Eastar company should send us pictures soon so you can see what your boxes and add-ons look like.

LOGISTICS

We are pleased to announce that the company in charge of shipping Sanctorvm will be the famous logistics company, Shipquest. Why have we decided to use them? As Sanctorvm is going to be the first board game we ship worldwide, we need a company with warehouses in several strategic points and also with vast experience in the world of board game logistics, and that is Shipquest.

As we already mentioned in previous updates, we want our boxes to arrive at your homes in the best possible condition, so we are going to make sure that the packaging is high quality.

PRODUCTION

“The Depth” vinyl is still in production and everything is going well; we hope that the next update will include some images of the vinyl. All the other components of Sanctorvm are still in production by Ningbo Eastar company. We have improved the card materials as well as increased the thickness of the box to 2mm and its size to 32x32x15 so it can hold and protect all its contents well.

ATMOSPHERE

We are developing a new album with looped atmospheric songs, which will be free and uploaded to all streaming platforms so you can enjoy the adventures in the Daughter of Cooperlay 401 even more. We show you a preview of two of them:

Apocalypse Expansion Refunds

Greetings travelers of Cooperlay’s Daughter 401,

We hope your summer vacations are going great. The whole Gravita Games team is anxious to send the boxes to your homes so you can enjoy the challenges of Dr. Rabidus. It's getting closer!

These days, we have been planning the strategy for next year. We want Sanctorvm to keep evolving and improving year after year. That's why, once you receive your precious boxes, we will start contacting several youtubers to get our name out and  start promoting the next campaign in time. From all this, our intention will be to launch a new Kickstarter to support the Apocalypse expansion and the new Homo Superbe nicknamed the Z-Morphs.

To be honest, the initial prices we had in the Kickstarter for the CoreBox and the Expansion were very low due to the few units that were sold and the premium components we have provided. For the next Kickstarter, the prices will increase to 90€ for the Core Box and 55€ for the Apocalypse Expansion.

If you were an original backer and added the Apocalypse Expansion - you may either request a refund now or wait to receive your (discounted!) copy of the expansion after our campaign next year.

All backers who want a refund for the amount of the expansion, send an email to  [email protected] with the subject, “Apocalypse Expansion Refund.” In the body of the email, include the email address with which you access your Backerkit. Throughout this month, we will refund you individually as promptly as possible.

All backers who still want the Apocalypse Expansion will receive it, after our second campaign, at the original price that you have already paid.

SUMMER BEGINS

Greetings travelers of Cooperlay’s Daughter 401,

Despite the delay of Sanctorvm's shipment due to the production of The Depth vinyl, everything is running smoothly. On our side, we are improving some book art designs (as they will be produced a bit later) and preparing a free mobile app which you will be able to download by the end of the year. This app will have the music of the game (with new ambient themes that we are creating) and the most important thing: the sound files.


Sound Files

During the Narration Phases, players will be able to find secret codes that can be entered into the app or website to listen to recordings of Dr. Rabidus or Dr. Cooperlay. These recordings will share lore from the past (This lore is not needed to continue the adventures/game, but it goes deeper into the history of Cooperlay's Daughter 401).

Many backers have asked us if we could share the tracks of the vinyl—The Depth—in digital format before the final shipment. As of today, those files are ready! Remember: Once the physical vinyl arrives, the box will have a card inside with a code to download all the songs in digital format. This code that we offer in advance is for the backers who need to have it before the release date. Remember that The Depth is also streaming on Spotify, Youtube, and Apple Music.


Did you know that...?

La Familia has a unique and varied arsenal. Each Weapon card has three unique actions which will allow you to carry out a near infinite number of strategies with your companions.


Some of these cards have chain attacks/combo attacks. These actions are represented by a chain symbol which will block the second action. In order to perform that second action, you must hit your enemy with the first action (thus being able to deliver chain blows, generating devastating combos).

Sanctorvm has 37 unique weapon cards (with two copies of each card, making a total of 74 weapon cards). This gives a total of 111 different actions to manage strategy in the Action Phases. As you overcome these challenges, you will be rewarded with a new weapon card and its duplicate.

In addition, each adventure has its own weapon cards, so La Familia will have a different arsenal depending on the story they have chosen to play. This will help each adventure to have a different combat experience from the others.

In this new update, we will tell you how the production process of Sanctorvm is going:


Vinyl - The Depth

A few days ago, we were contacted by the Deepgrooves company (in charge of the vinyl production) with some bad news. Due to the damned virus (Covid), there is a shortage of some of the materials needed to manufacture the vinyl. They have informed us that due to the production queue, they estimate that our vinyl will take 20 weeks to be produced (when we had planned that it would take 3 weeks). This little bump obviously delays things.

Sanctorvm has a variety of components and different materials which is making it very difficult for suppliers, delaying us all. In the case of vinyl, we need it to be produced at the end so that it is not damaged over time (they are delicate products).


We have contacted other vinyl production companies, but they have an even longer production queue. So we have no choice but to wait a little longer....Deepgrooves has informed us that they will do their best to move forward through this long delay.


We know that no one likes delays—least of all us! We have invested a lot of time in the project and we want the box to arrive now so you can enjoy it and appreciate the effort involved.


Logistics

We are getting distribution warehouses in the USA, Germany, and Australia so we will have very good, customs-free logistics. The final weight of the Sanctorvm box will be around 6'5KG! So you will get a nice monster at home. We are also getting some premium boxes with reinforcements so that they can perfectly protect our big baby. As expected, we want everything to arrive to you in the best conditions.


Because of the vinyl production problem, the logistics are now estimated to start in early November. We considered making two separate shipments, but economically we cannot afford it; we need everything to be sent in a single shipment. Keep in mind that Covid has increased the price of all components and shipping. Of course, we are not going to charge you extra or anything like that, but we want to let you know that we are making the maximum effort to make this project go ahead perfectly.


Red Radiance Adventure

As a reward for the long wait, we can show you the first chapter of Virgul Tum (24 pages), the chapter with more branches of the Red Radiance adventure.

Important: This chapter is a WIP version. All books are being reworked and proofread, and will be the last pieces to enter Ningbo Eastar's production line. All other components are already in production.


Video Testing

Here is a gameplay video of the testing of one of the chapters, so you can see how the game works. We have enabled an automatic translation into English; we hope you can understand it well.

We have also contacted some youtubers, and soon we will show you some videos with better quality. We are also considering, to mitigate the long wait, creating a Twitch channel where we will play the entire introductory adventure and solve any kind of doubt you may have.
