Greetings travelers,
Sorry for the delays; we know it took us a while to share this update, but we assure you that it is because we are locked in the cave finishing the adventures—and what adventures await you!
In this new update, we can show you more details of the components that will come in the Core Box. If you look at the initial Kickstarter, you will see that these have been improved substantially.
Components:
Rule Book
This book contains everything you need to learn how to play Sanctorvm, plus the introductory adventure Loud Laugh to initiate players into this universe.
LOUD LAUGH: This adventure is a point of first contact with the general universe of Sanctorvm. We will travel through the dangerous places of The Colony that are not under the control of any faction, and we will be punished from the shadows by an old madman named Rabidus. A dark plan hovers over our destiny.
Chieftain's War Campaign Book
This reversible book contains two of Sanctorvm's main plots. Once the introductory Loud Laugh adventure is finished, players must choose whether to start the Mad March adventure or the Red Radiance adventure. They will also have charts with the branches of the plot and the location of the Action Phases. If players want to try other decisions and paths, they can review this diagram.
MAD MARCH: In this adventure, we will enter the territory of the Crimson Legion, a military society marked by a distorted vision of classical Roman culture. Its leader, Daniel Didier, has its population confined to the hermetic city of the Scarlet Pantheon. He has his citizens subdued by extreme methods of control and instruction, with the aim of creating a powerful army capable of dominating the Sanctorvm and recovering the greatness of the human race.
RED RADIANCE: In this adventure, we will face the faction of the Stygian Herd, the wildest and most chaotic culture of Sanctorvm, a society that mixes the style of ancient tribes. Their leader, Virgul Tum, entertains his armies in the hanging city of the Cradle of Tartarus, over the scrap metal valleys and forests of the Leisure Center. They celebrate macabre festivals full of suffering and death where fun and taboo subjects prevail over everything else. The Meat Festivals are coming up...will you volunteer to take part in them?
Tile Maps
The modules are rooms of the Colony where the miniatures will be able to interact when they are in a combat against the Overlord. Each action phase uses a different combination of these modules. You can also use them to create your own adventures and custom maps.
Weapon and Armor Cards
These cards show the different weapons and armor that the Family will obtain as rewards in the Action Phases. Some of the weapon cards are unique to each adventure, so the Family's equipment will be different depending on which adventure they are facing.
Tooling Cards
These cards show the different disposable items that you can find in the narrative or purchase in Gunan's store; there are three types (Objects, Grenades and Proterberus). The Objects offer a wide variety of possibilities that will delight the most strategic and patient players, the Grenades focus on area damage, and the Proterberus will allow the Family to use Ethermantic powers.
Primordial Ethermancy Cards
These cards show the powers of Ethermancy available to Ghurab (a member of the Family). Each card has a partner, and if they are joined together, you will get a unique and very powerful skill. These cards will have a premium metallic finish!
Key Cards
These unique cards are hard to find. They represent unique objects, or even reminders of decisions that will affect the future of the game narratively. They will help you open branches in the adventure and unlock extra lore in the dialogues inside the Tabernacle.
Sanctorvm bag
A black cloth bag with the symbol of Sanctorvm that will serve you to keep tokens, dice, etc.
Clock Sand
This hourglass serves to put players under pressure when making certain decisions where they have to respond quickly. Run—you have only 10 seconds!
Blue and red markers
These markers are used to fill in and mark the Family and Overlord panels. Each has its own draft so that you can edit the statistics and other items.
Action Dice
These dice are used to resolve tests, both in the narrative and in the action phases, and to resolve game mechanics that depend on random results.
Coins
The coins are mainly used for trading. Their use also revolves around game mechanics that depend on results with probabilities of 50%. We have managed to make them metal, so their touch, balance, and sound will be perfect.
Family Panels
Each panel of the Family represents a specific member, with their corresponding attributes and skills. On the back there will be a small guide that will explain the attributes, the actions that can be done in the combats, and the Superb Power of each character.
Enemy Panels
These reversible panels contain all the information about the different enemies in the game.
Overlord panels
These panels are used to control the health and status of the enemy during combat.
Miniatures
These miniatures represent the Family and the most common enemies of Sanctorvm. The Family’s miniatures are lime-colored; the Overlord’s are purple. They are used in combat.
Enemy Tokens and Plastic Stands
These cardboard pieces joined with the plastic bases form an enemy. They are used in combat.
Accident Tokens
These tokens are placed on the board to represent various accidents (Debris, Fire, Short Circuit, Gas Leakage, and Sanguinemorphs). Some accidents will block roads in the modules; others will negatively affect the Family and the enemies through elemental altered states.
Stimulant Tokens
Lupa (a member of La Familia) can give these tokens to their peers to get stimulants (Adrenaline, Madness, Faith and Frenzy). These give the players alternative mechanical recovery of stamina and life.
Generic Tokens
These tokens can have several uses. They help players as indicators of health, stamina and objects located in the modules.
Music is Power

Greetings Voyagers,
In this update, we will talk about Sanctorvm's music and some surprises.
The whole team knew from the beginning that we needed to create a unique atmosphere for the conflicts, and for this reason “The Depth” was born. It’s a retrowave-style album that fuses the music of the past with the concepts of the future, a duality that is very present in our game. And all this would not have been possible without the help of the 12 artists who have supported us on this journey. We would be grateful if you could visit their links and let yourself be blown away by their music; we are sure you will love it.
We also have a little surprise for you! We are creating a new atmospheric album which will contain specific tracks for the narrative moments of the game. This album will also be available on Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, and Youtube.
Here you can listen to some tracks from the new album “Con5ti3ntia” made by Ssenc.
The vinyl
As you may know, “The Depth” is in vinyl format and will come as an exclusive Kickstarter edition in every Sanctorvm Core Box. The company in charge of bringing it to life will be Deepgrooves.
Remember that you can support the artists by buying the vinyl; all the profits collected goes to them.
The company that will manufacture all of Sanctorvm’s components will be Eastar Game, with more than 35 years in the industry of board games and toys, who have manufactured games like Nemesis, Tainted Grail...
Meet the Family
The whole Family has already been illustrated by Alejandro and they look amazing! Soon we will all be able to enjoy their enormous powers. But before that, it would be nice to get to know them a little better. Tell us, which one would you choose in your first game of Sanctorvm?
Neshorn is a fearsome old woman. Her great size and temperament make her the guardian of the group. Despite her intimidating appearance, she is permissive and affectionate with the beings she loves. She doesn't mind sacrificing herself for the common good.
Nezumi is a very elusive and perceptive teenager. She doesn't like to relate to others. She is more comfortable alone and in quiet places. Normally, she tends to stay away from the Family and deal with threats herself.
Tapayaxin is a very curious child. He is always alert and nothing escapes his attention, which is why he has a reputation for gossip. He is a very naughty and restless person, who disdains danger by inciting his companions to venture into suspicious corners.
Prymat is a big, athletic man. Despite being a tremendously violent person, his muscular body has only a few scratches. He is a narcissist with a desire to be in the limelight, and when there is trouble, he is the first to throw himself into danger.
Lupa is an excellent leader. Her charisma can convince anyone of anything. She keeps the Family always together, and if there is a problem, she mediates to find a solution. Her faithful canine companion, Romulo, always helps to empower her companions in combat.
Ghurab is a cold and lonely man. It is always difficult to find out what he is thinking, or if he is expressing any emotion. His supernatural intelligence has led him to become an eccentric and ambitious researcher of Etermancy, a psionic power he himself possesses.
WE ARE SAFE!

Hi everybody!
We hope that you are all well. Here in Spain, we are now deescalating and beginning to recover the normal workflow. During this month, thanks to all those who helped with virtual testing, we have improved many parts of the game, not just in mechanics and art but also narrative. Let’s get to it!
COMPONENTS:
The Depth Vinyl (Limited Edition) + Digital Download
As you know, Sanctorvm was going to have the Genesis Codex, a supplementary book related to locations, lore, and creatures. Thanks to the testing sessions and the feedback received from them, we found out that using more than one book made the game more complicated and much slower. So we decided to unite the Codex and the adventure into a single book. Now, there is no need to go looking for pages.
The Chieftain’s War campaign, with its two adventures (Mad March and Red Radiance), will have a total of 10 chapters (5 Mad March and 5 Red Radiance). By doing this, we get to improve the replayability of the game by increasing the choice possibilities in the narrative.
Because the Codex is being disposed of, we decided to increase the info in each chapter, giving more important lore and enhancing the full package of each chapter.
Thanks to this, the adventure has now a more agile rhythm so each game should last a maximum of 3 hours per session.
All locations and lore are introduced in the adventure in the form of dialogues, new scenes, and the Tabernacle, a safe place where the players rest and can get info and equipment.
Each enemy now has their own card with its important info, so there will be no need for the overlord to constantly search the books.
All these changes allow us to give more comfort and control to the overlord when it comes to choosing and leading the adventures as everything is more clear and fluid. It can be played even if there is only one single player.
Layout
The adventures and rulebook books have been fully improved. In the next link you can download the PDF with the second chapter of the introductory adventure: Loud Laughs.
By the moment it is only the Spanish version and still in progress. We will upload the translated rulebook soon so you can test it and share your thoughts. As always, feedback is welcome.
Gameplay video
Due to the COVID-19 situation, we haven’t been able to meet for gameplay. But thanks to improving situations, it seems that the restrictions are lessening and lessening by the day, and as soon as possible, we will produce and upload it.
OST
On the next update, we will also open the music links for The Depth (Sanctorum’s OST) at Spotify, Deezer, and iTunes!
German translation
We know that we offered to give German backers the game in their own language in case we got to 100 German backers.
During the campaign, we reached that goal, something that we celebrated because we wanted to share our project with the whole world.
Sadly, only 62 of those 100 backers completed the backerkit survey, so we cannot reach the translation cost. We have been looking for solutions for the past several months, but there were always stones in the road.
All German backers will be receiving the game in English. Of course, we offer the option of a refund, but we would like to continue counting on your support; this will help us grow and keep this game evolving.
For those German speakers who would like to access the refund, please send us an e-mail to: [email protected]
Thank you for your understanding and for trusting us.
SANCTORVM - COVID 19 UPDATE
– Wed, Apr 15, 2020 at 09:07:48 AM
Greetings to all! Sorry for the delay in the update; it has been a month of many changes and setbacks, but we continue working every day.
We all know what is going on in the world regarding the Covid-19 virus. Spain is under a hard lockdown since the situation here is relatively serious. Remote work has not been a problem.
Due to force majeure and the coronavirus crisis, two of our artists have been forced to abandon the project. Also, the procedures that we handle with other companies, such as the manufacturer in China, have been slowed down, so we expect a delay in the launch date of Sanctorvm, probably 1 to 2 months. But don’t worry, we will clarify the exact date in the future.
Despite everything, we are still working hard. We already have new artists incorporated and the development of the game continues without stopping. One of the things we've been working on is improving the mechanics so the Adventure Mode can be played with just one player, without Overlord! As soon as this situation improves, we can record and upload gameplay videos.
We want to share with you the changes and visual improvements of some components of the game.
We hope you and your family are safe and well. Stay strong!
THE APOCALYPSE IS COMING! NEW MINIATURES & PAYMENTS
over 4 years ago
– Tue, Mar 03, 2020 at 10:03:38 PM
Greetings to all! Sorry we're late; the work this last month has been hard, but we are meeting our goals and we are very happy.
NEW ART
We have some new card designs that we would like to share with you.
APOCALYPSE EXPANSION IS ALREADY A REALITY
We are pleased to announce that the Apocalypse Expansion has been unlocked! Thank you to all of you who have supported us. We wanted the story of the Immiscible Gods to become a reality.
The fact that we reduced the stretch goal from 1000 to 250 backers means that we have to develop the expansion with a smaller budget, but we still want to maintain the quality at 100% without altering the product. Because of this goal, we anticipate that its development will take a little longer, delaying a few months. Right now we can’t guarantee that the Apocalypse Expansion will come along with the Core Box.
WHAT'S NEW IN THIS EXPANSION?
Most importantly, the book with the "Immiscible Gods" campaign and the two new adventures: "Whisper Walls" and "Steel Steps." The new protagonist factions, the Leviathan Cult, and the Edentronic Order, each with a much more religious and esoteric background, will be explored. There will be new locations, lore, characters, enemies, and cards, described in the Codex Apocalypse.
FACTIONS
Leviathan Cult
Its members are called the Avernangels, worshippers of their own Satan, Angelus. They experiment with the proteus virus and ethermancy to empower their bodies and train Sanguinemorphs, as they believe the virus leads to spiritual transcendence. Their home is the Indigo Sanctuary, a marble city built in the Engineering Sector, which rests on a radioactive sea. Although Angelus is the most powerful being in the Colony, he leaves all power in the hands of the Nabuzaradan's entourage, his most faithful followers.
Edentronic Order
This society is composed solely of Christian androids. Its leader is Savior, and its members are the Meta-Templars. Their objective is to convert everything organic into inorganic, and unite the human being into a huge hive mind which will take them to the next evolutionary step. The Meta-Templars are composed of the Twelve Apostles, exceptional automatons chosen and improved by Savior. He is also able to control other robots to fight by his side.
VILLAINS
Angelus, the Dark Prince
A perfect Sanguinemorph, a product of experimentation with the proteus virus, ethermancy, and the genes of Homo Superbe... Despite being the most powerful creature in the Colony, its will is primitive and influential, so it is under the manipulation of Nabuzaradan and his family, members who were present at the founding of the sect. Angelus is feared as a god, and considered the perfect Tenebris, the highest state of a Sanguinemorph that maintains the human form. His Etermantia is extremely powerful to the point of being able to project his voice telepathically to any corner of the Colony and create proteus organic matter from any object. His dominance is threatened by the incessant harassment of Savior, leader of the Edentronic Order.
Savior, the Herald of Steel
Little is known about its origin... only that it was once a Z-29K Security Automaton that for some reason acquired consciousness and an enhanced body. Savior has a deformed vision of the Bible and is obsessed with spirituality. He pursues the conversion of the organic to the inorganic because he believes that the human race is obsolete. His intention is to transform all types of living beings into a robotic hybridization and put them under his control in the hope of creating a new world, more solid and perfect. His main obstacle is Angelus, leader of the Leviathan Cult.
By the way! We already have the miniatures of Virgul Tum and Daniel Didier. They're brutal! We hope you like them too.
Virgul Tum Miniature
Miniature Daniel Didier
APOCALYPSELAUNCH DATE
As previously stated, by reducing the stretch goal to 250 backers, the budget available to us has also decreased, so development of the expansion will be somewhat slower (remember that the quality of the product will not be altered, will remain as planned and will be at the level of the Core Box). Our goal is that the Apocalypse Expansion will reach your homes between June and July 2021 at the latest, but we will try to bring the date forward as much as possible.
BACKERKIT AND PAYMENTS
We want to remind you that there are still backers who have not completed their Backerkit survey. Without the required information, we will not be able to manage the shipment in a timely manner. On March 10th, the pledge manager will make the payment related to the shipment and/or the extra games and add-ons that have been purchased only through Backerkit.
We would also like to encourage all backers to share the Late Pledge so that people who could not purchase the game during the Kickstarter will still be able to do so. It can be accessed through the blue "Late Pledge" button at the top of the Kickstarter, or by clicking here!
NEXT UPGRADE
In the next update, we will present new gameplay content with the planned changes, plus the layout manual along with a test sample.
Thank you very much to everyone for being there, and to the active users in the comments. We are very motivated and will continue to work hard to meet your expectations.
